Justin’s Statement

Today, they found my Sammy.

I'd like to start off by thanking the Edmonton Police Service and Detective Jared Buhler. You told me to trust you and have faith in your methods. I did just that. There were moments when I felt like nothing was happening but you reassured me you were working hard, trying to find Sam, and that many things were happening behind the scenes. Even when the public was condemning your actions and saying you weren't doing anything. I stood fast in what you told me and believed you would find my boy. Words can't express how grateful I am.

I want to thank everyone who showed up to support Sam and spread awareness. All the volunteers, dedicating their time to look for Sam; from the goodness of the hearts and the people donating to a family in need, thank you from the bottom of my heart. My family, who has come together and been so supportive during this tough time, I love each and every one of you and thank you for everything. And to my kids, who are my reason to live, I love you so much. Lastly, all my great friends who were there when I needed someone. Thanks for checking up on me in my darkest of days. I love you guys.

Today was a mixture of emotions.
